Hi, I'm Emily.
I'm a UX designer with over 10 years of teaching and research experience. My passion for teaching children and love of research and numbers led me to realize that my combination of creativity, the scientific method, and empathy were perfectly suited for UX design.
More than anything in the world, I love to learn. I truly believe if you aren't learning, you aren't growing. Beginning with my undergraduate degree in The Artistic Representation of Imperialism at NYU and my Masters in Special Education at Georgia State University, I have consistently pursued knowledge. This thirst for knowledge strengthens my UX strategies, constantly craving to know more about the process.
My approach to life follows the teachings of Shunryu Suzuki's philosophy of "Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind"- meaning one should have a "beginner's mind" approach to everything they do in life- even if you have done something one thousand times, try to find something new you can learn from that experience. I believe that with an open growth mindset anything is possible.
